Buses to and from Tenerife South Airport (TFS)

TITSA is a public limited company that belongs to the Tenerife Island Council. For over 40 years, it has become one of the country's most substantial public transport institutions. Committed to promoting an organized transport system for the residents of Tenerife.

In 2019, it was reported that TITSA covered about 35 million and a half kilometers through 180 transportation routes. A fleet of 610 vehicles conveyed around 45 million passengers and about 1.9 million trips around Tenerife.

TITSA buses operate 24 hours daily, 365 days a year, to ensure they reach wanderers and their destinations by marking around 3,800 bus stops all over the island.

TITSA aims to provide the island with a vibrant, efficient, modernized public transport system that is more environmental-friendly, more accessible, and more user-friendly.

At present, all vehicles are equipped with the most delinquent technology regarding security with its state-of-the-art braking systems and comfort with their upgraded air-conditioning system, without violating environmental requirements.

TITSA currently has bus stations in several towns on the island, including Puerto de la Cruz, La Orotava, Icod de los Vinos, Buenavista, Candelaria, Güímar, Arafo, Granadilla, Adeje, Los Cristianos, Guía de Isora, as well as the two Intercambiador de Transportes de Santa Cruz, La Laguna (interchange) a large office services building at Cuevas Blancas, Santa María del Mar near Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

Bus Services at Tenerife South Airport

One of the most operated affordable public transportation in Tenerife is buses. They have been one of the most dependable transports on the island.

Buses are primarily accessible in bus stations and designated bus stops in town, attending to hundreds of daily commuters, especially those bound for Tenerife South Airport.

TITSA Bus line serves the airport with four bus routes. Line 343 serves the route Tenerife South Airport-Tenerife North Airport. Line 111 takes the road from Santa Cruz, Airport, Los Cristianos, to Costa Adeje. Line 711 is a night bus that serves the same route as line 111. Lastly, Line 415 takes the road from El Fraile, Airport to San Isidro and vice versa.

Passengers at Tenerife South Airport will find the bus stops just opposite the arrivals gate of the terminal building.

Bus tickets are typically inexpensive compared to taxi fares. For the routes from Tenerife South Airport, the costs range between €2.25 and €9.70. Travel cards can also be purchased from authorized shops and stations for about €12.00 to €30.00, which can also be used on tram services. A monthly travel card is sold for €40.00. However, it is only exclusive for metropolitan use (Santa Cruz de Tenerife, La Laguna, El Rosario, and Tegueste). Passengers may also purchase a single bus ticket from their bus driver. Note that change can only be provided for a maximum of €10.00.
